THIS is the best person to describe what Scott Woodward will look for in the next HC at LSU! This made me excited and hopeful in the future of LSU football!

He would be a fantastic hire. IMO

Great stuff. If Woodward could actually convince him to come south, I think LSU would kick some arse for a few years.

I dont think these guys like Petersen are able to stay away from coaching for long before they go crazy.
Call me crazy but I think it's a real possibility.

It’s going to be Peterson, Napier, Aranda or Franklin. Hopefully in that order.
They’re gonna try to get Riley and Fickell but they won’t come.

Also, his name is Chris Petersen. Can we get that part right first?

Petersen would be about as solid of a hire as you could make at the college level.
The guy is just consistently AT LEAST above average with well coached teams.

I just hope it’s not Franklin; I don’t know what it is but he screams “meh” and is creepy.
Aranda or Napier would lock down one side of the ball. Petersen would bring in elite coordinators.

I'm not big on Franklin either, but I did find it interesting how some people at Penn State think that the university isn't committed enough to winning, and that Franklin wants them to do more for the program. Very similar to the Jimbo situation when he was at Florida State and they didn't want to spend enough to keep up with Clemson in the ACC. Now you see Jimbo at A&M and they are spending like crazy and pulling in a ton of talent into College Station.
College football is an arms race, whoever spends the most wins the most.

Not always in the arms race, sometimes you get a "Taliban" program that does you in. A bunch of guys who are well coached and believe in their mission and themselves...not necessarily the most talented but talented enough.
Boise State 10 - 12 years ago comes to mind along with N.Illinois a few years back.on the P5/G5 end UCF was that team. Recently and Northwestern even though they are having a down year. Fitzgerald can get his guys up, he becomes a very tough out.
