Find a coach that does Less with more talent (in 3A) and I'd be shocked.

Dale Wiener...does less with more than any other coach in the history of LHSAA
Larry Dauterive, is worse by far.
Guy Mistretta has to be gaining fast. But yea at least he has a state title.

Seriously, Warren Capone?
Have any of you tried to talk to him? He can barely hold a conversation and stutters before every word. As for coaching, he won at CLA the 1 season because he had bunch of tough arse seniors and a damn good running back. The QB that was a senior this season was/is very good too. Now as for top coaches in the BR area for football in no particular order:
Bob Howell, Sid Edwards, Kenny Guillot, Dru Nettles(very good and wins with average talent), and I am stuck on a 5th one between Neil Weiner(yes he can coach, just got stuck at Zachary with players that he HAD to play in order to keep his job) and Guy Mistretta. Also Benny Saia is very good.

I worked for Warren Capone back when he had Linebacker's Bar & Grill on Essen Ln. He was pretty damn arrogant and gave all of his friends free meals. Maybe that's why he went out of business so quickly.
Warren has a high opinion of himself and thinks his name carries way more weight in this town than it does.

Kenny G should be way ahead of anybody....more superdome appearances than anybody in the br area..
Dale..shouldnt be even in the top 25... he has done less with more than anybody in lhsaa history...
Neil Wiener is unproven
Sid Edwards should be in the top 3(even though he doesnt coach)

neil turned a struggling chspc program into a top 10 team and hasnt missed the playoffs since 05. How is that unproven? new coaches have a 3 year plan. Look at PBS, CHS, RHS, Central, CHSPC. All found success in the 3rd year of these coaches, expect zachary to find the same

Neil was at Central 1 year....
btw i think Neil is a great coach and a better person...and wish him tremendous success..but i still think he is unproven and shouldnt be listed in the top 5 just yet...

kenny guiott at pbs
sid edwards at central
dru nettles at denham springs
benny saia at dutchtown
weiner at catholic high.
best coaches is not always about winning a state championship.
you have to deal with what is handed you.

We only lost by 46.

Joey Thibodeaux would probably be first-wins with mediocre talent, gets the most out of what he has
Completely agree. The guy usually fields an entire team of 5-9, 170 lbs. white kids. The man runs a disciplined program which has struggled to acclimate to the competition of 2A football. He's only missed the playoffs one time in the past 20 years.
Otherwise, I think that
Sid
KG
Neil Weiner
Dale Weiner
should be included on this list.

1. ML Woodruff
everyone else.
...Oh, this is for football. Well, ML would probably coach football better than these guys.
