Defense is currently pretty bad. Do you expect improvement if Riley is hired? OU has always had a really bad defense, we would have to get a superb hire at DC

No. I expect continued subpar defenses.

Next question.

We would be 10-2 or 11-1 annually on offense alone. We would beat Bama at least once every three years, and more than that following Saban's retirement (if Riley were still HC). As I see it, our defense really can't get much worse from where it is.

That goes without saying, no matter who the next coach will be.

The fact his teams are not strictly pass only gives me confidence it would improve. Hell, if by nothing else, talent alone. His job has been to win the Big 12. It is a heavy offense/no defense league. His teams are built to win that conference year in year out, and have done so with ease.

Now Kiffin on the other hand....

It’s an offensive league and it takes a while to change the culture and personnel.

I actually think Grinch is a good coach. Their recruiting on the DL has improved.

Riley knows the importance of defense. He inherited Mike fricking Stoops as his DC, who was horrible.
