Has he been a DC before?

It doesn't matter. He would probably coach the DL but be in charge of the entire front 7 like was when Chip was year.

All our second half adjustments on defense were attributed to Azz during the Chip era. I know you like to point to the year after as statistically a good year for Aliotti but he never adjusted in games.

He was the D line coach/asst head coach. Not sure who he would possibly hire as the DC. John Neal would stay as defensive backs coach. Pellum was his LB coach but who knows if he upgrades there or there not.

Makes sense. I wonder if he'd try to get Aliotti to come out of retirement.

Do you think Oregon would wait 5 weeks for the chance at Chip?

Is there a chance of this happening thou? I just don't see him leaving after just 1 year in SF.

It's internet banter. Basically, one of our respected posters is saying it will be Chip. The poster also said it would be Tuesday when the firing would be announced.

If you think about it...I don't see Oregon paying 30 million in buyouts unless they got a big hire lined up.

That would be awesome for you guys. If not Chip, I think Dan Mullen would kill it at Oregon.

We told ourselves the same thing.

That being said, I'm sure the decision makers at Oregon are infinitely more competent.

Not sure but I hope they've talked to him before moving down the list.

Chip is about the only coach that would strike fear in some of my husky friends mind. When I say only I mean realistically attainable.
