Like I said, I think Tate is smart enough to know forcing a bad football hire is a great way to get fired. If Franklin wants to come, great. That’s a good hire. Black white purple that’s a good hire.

If Tucker loses 3 games to the big boys in the conference and we fire O to hire a 9-4 coach, he better win or Tate is with him.

Much easier to just be an administrator and keep your job.

There’s no way Tate forces this guy on us. Wanting to make a “legacy” hire is one thing. If you are looking at a group of 3-4 candidates with comparable resumes, & you want to go after Franklin bc you want to make a statement on diversity, fine. You can make a legitimate case Franklin is the best guy. But there’s no way the President of the University is going to hire a guy just because he’s a minority. He’s not stupid. He needs a good football program. If we get Tucker it’ll be bc we took some hacks & missed out or he sold everyone from Tate/Woodward & on down.
