1. Mike Nolan - Defensive Coordinator (Miami Dolphins) - 51 years old

He coached LBs at LSU in the mid-80s and has connections to the south with him and his dad coaching with the Saints

2. Cam Cameron - Offensive Coordinator (Baltimore Ravens) - 49 years old

Once a hot name, the former Indiana head coach used to coach with Coach Miles at Michigan. Still highly regarded as a good offensive mind, and he has worked well with Joe Flacco.

3. Kyle Shanahan - Offensive Coordinator (Washington Redskins) - 31 years old

I know his ascent in the football coaching ranks SCREAMS of nepotism, but he has been able to make huge strides with his connections in his few years of coaching. His college days and coaching in Houston gives him a good deal of recent Texas connections.

4. Brian Van Gorder (Defensive Coordinator - Atlanta Falcons) - 51 years old

Also a former "hot name", the Jackson, Mississippi native has help build the Atlanta defense into one of the more feared in the NFC. In addition, it could be argued that Coach Richt's best seasons at Georgia were when Van Gorder was his defensive coordinator in the early 2000s.

you'd have to get a good mind to run the offense, but the man konws his way around a defense

and let's be honest......Mike Nolan is a dapper man

working the Tiger Stadium sidelines in a suit would be a fan favorite

he failed miserably as a head coach. do yall not remember that?!?! 1 fricking year at LSU 25 years ago isnt not enough of a connection.

this is a hire that would set us back to the hallman/dinardo years. i am turning in my LSU tags if this went down

Larry Blakeney at Troy. Nothing but success with almost no resources.

Since we'd like to get away from the spread and go to more of a pro style, "west coast" offense ...

how about Bob Toledo from Tulane?

where is nolan's success yall are all drooling over?? nolan would be a university of virginia hire where you keep hiring guys, and they get poached, and you cant get big names. this would be nothing short of a disaster.

technically, its 5 years- and that guy has has MAJOR success at this level. hes a rising star. nolan is a burn out who proven he cant be the head guy. his 18-37 record as head coach at SF doesnt exactly inspire me

College football is too far advanced for an NFL guy to keep up? Makes sense. Saban's defenses were much worse in the SEC than in the AFC East.
