Gus has to be looking for a way out at Auburn and he would be great in BR in my opinion. I think Lesticles needs to give Gus a call and then hire him and get out of his way.

If Les hires Gus he could graze the sidelines and enjoy the game along with everyone else. Big Chief and Gus would be unstoppable with the talent at LSU. Les could then focus only on shaking Mommas hand, which he must be great at.

I think he would be good, but we'd be looking for another OC, next year. I think they want a guy that is a little more committed to being an OC. Malzhan will be a Head guy somewhere soon, but thats just my guess.

well, first we'd have to pony up to the $1.3M range. then, we'd probably be renting him for a year- maybe 2. then, wait til les miles tries to override one of his carefully planned calls. miles over ruling malzahn on offensive theory? thatd be rich!

will never happen, but would be incredible and i would damn near guarantee a national title next year

Let me ask this question: Before Cam Newton amazing run this year, did you ever once think, "Gus Malzhan is the best OC LSU could possibly hire"?

I never thought that. Obviously, his offense was great with Cam, but LSU can hire someone that has a proven track record and is a sure home run.

Gus may prove to be one of the greats over the next couple of years, but LSU should not be the team to take a chance on him. Besides, I know LSU can beat him at Auburn next year, why hire him away?

Scoop, what does the Bama nation think of Auburn's accomplishments this year? Does it lessen yours in any way? Of course it doesn't to the rest of the country, but does it hurt y'all's feelings a bit?

By the way, has that ever happened before? 2 different teams from the same state winning in back to back years? Not only that, but both went 14-0 and had the Heisman Trophy winner. Weird. And damn impressive, actually. Shows how passionate you guys are about football.

there has always been naysayers who said "his offense is cute, but would never work in the SEC." thats why after its proven to work hes a hot commodity.

and i dont know why LSU would be scared they cant get those big name stud type players. were LSU.
