I doubt Pelini would leave hc at Youngstown making close to 3 million to be. DC at LSU!

Good god man look up his salary before you post this stupid shite! He makes like 220,000 a year. That’s a far cry from 3 mil his payout from Nebraska is over

There is no way he is making anywhere near $3 mil at YSU.

I’ve done some thinking on this matter and you’re right

I’m blinded by 2-3 bad games, but that’s not fair. Overall he was really good

These anti-Pellini arse hats wouldn’t know a good DC if it jumped up and bit them in the arse.

This makes no sense at all. Being grateful for 2007 and not wanting him 13 years later have absolutely nothing to do with each other.

We need someone who is proven vs the offenses we will face in the SEC on a weekly basis. Objectively speaking, Bo Pelini is not because he hasn’t been a DC since 2007. That doesn’t make me ungrateful for his prior service. It just means that others are more qualified for this position TODAY.

For all of you who want to hire a guy who’s been behind a desk for a few years, ask yourself this:

Would Bo Pelini be anywhere near discussion about the DC job for the reigning national champions if he hadn’t coached here before? Would you even remember who he was at this point? If so, why?

I get this, I really do. But you’re comparing apples to oranges with the offenses we faced back then and now.

This. Ohio State had a better ranked defense in 2007 than Pelini’s. You want to hire their 2007 coordinator Jim Heacock? If he was good then, he’s good now, right? If he’s still alive.
