Oregon and Washington. We just don’t ever have 1 loss teams. Oregon played for a championship twice in the BCS era.

Except that hasn’t been updated since noon. Betonline is the only book listed that’s worth anything and it updates with any shift in the market

No fricking way Auburn just flushed $21 million to hire Steele.

Agree

Tnat's a "keep the team together playing for the coach for one more game" rumor.

Not many but that is primarily due to not having many good teams in that 6 year time period. Any time they have had a 1 loss or better team, they have been picked. And no team has ever made the playoff with more than one loss from any conference. So if 1 loss or better gets you in the playoff whether you are in the Pac 12 or the SEC, which schedule would you rather play to get the record you need?

We paid 13.6 million to hire Orgeron... IDK

That's us

It's also a ridiculous statement. Go undefeated, win NC, get paid, PERIOD.

Kevin Steele was a head coach for four years and finished last in the Big 12 South every one of them, granted it was at Baylor, but still.

Firing Malzahn was probably the right decision assuming they can make a good hire. Spending $21 million to fire Malzahn and replacing him with Kevin Steele would be an epic act of program suicide.

All of this sounds incredibly familiar.

He said so in his presser, told recruits and parents he is extending with Oregon. He could be a liar but that would be contrary to past experience.

That being said, it’s not announced as done.
