Not a breaking-news guy, but hearing a lot of heavy breathing on Nebraska coaching front: Scott Frost to NU for 7 years, $35 mil is "close."

I thought Frost was gonna be a stud. Going to Nebraska will hurt his chances

Maybe he'll bring back the HGH with him.

Nebraska is not what it once was, but that division of the Big 10 is not strong at all.

You've got Wisconsin and then a bunch of average or worse programs.

He can win that division, but he won't be racking in bluechips like OSU and UM.

No, he wouldn't but that doesn't mean he couldn't beat them once in awhile.

Plus, it's his alma mater and he was a star QB there. That is a very strong pull.

I get that. I'm just glad he's not going to Florida

Meh, if he's as good as everyone thinks he could be, it won't take him long to contend in the Big Ten West. Just getting to Wisconsin's level is not a bad place to build beyond.

Sometimes a good fit can make a big difference. And Frost would expectedly be a better fit for that program than Callahan, Pelini and Riley.

Me too. I think he's a future star.

I hate Nebraska with a passion, but we don't play them yearly.

Frost is a badass. I'm interested to see what he does at Nebraska.

I was legit more afraid of Frost going to Florida than I am of Kelly.

Me too.

I think Florida fans are going to be very underwhelmed. Said that from the beginning.

I fear Frost and Taggart more than Kelly

Isn't Mike Riley still HC in Lincoln?

How jacked up and simultaneously hysterical is it that a school with a current HC will potentially win the Belle of the ball, while perennial shite show Tennessee and new to the cellar Florida still don't even have a memo of understanding on a coach.

His record is not great but he would clean up in crootin at one of the Florida big 3 imo

To be fair, I think Nebraska was getting a head start on the HC search when they fired their AD in September.

Does he run the power option or some form or variant of it? I haven't watched any of his games so I don't know.

Agreed.

I figured they’d go all in on Frost and make it extremely difficult for him to say no. If they don’t get Kelly, it’ll be interesting to see what their next move is.

Taggart would be a great fallback option for them if he’s indeed interested in leaving Oregon.
