I was born and raised in Louisiana my whole life. LSU Tiger/Saints fan til the day I die

Went out one night while on a big power plant job in Batesville and met a girl back in 1999 and ended up settling down about 7 miles outside of Oxford.

Hands down the best little southern college town around second only to Natchitoches in my opinion. But I'm prejudice about my old college town.

Oxford is awesome.

489,264 according to US Census 2018 figures. Lafayette passed Shreveport as the third largest metropolitan area in Louisiana. You would never know it as they do not have that traditional downtown area with lots of tall buildings. They do have the traffic though.
