Per multiple reports

South Carolina is going to end up with their interim

But I thought they already had an agreement in place with Tom Herman?

Please. If we miss on Herman and Smart then Fedora is the next name you'll start hearing.

I love how Spurrier picks the worst year for a head coaching search ever to retire.

Why would he leave UNC for USCe? Lateral move?

Probably because of the sanctions that are never going to actually happen.

It wouldn't be the Chicken Curse if it didn't find yet another incredible way to destroy our hopes and dreams.

The sad part is Ray Tanner and his team have had a HUGE head start to get this done and nobody still has any idea of where they are leaning.

Hell, Virginia Tech had Fuente wrapped up with no issues and with incredible speed and they haven't had to do a football search in decades.

Top job opening in college football is going after a coordinator? This stuff has literally gotten insane.

Eh, it makes sense. He's one of their own, and he's spent years learning at the foot of the program that UGA wants to be.

Our baseball coach is our AD. He's doing the best he can, provided his own limitations.

Just like our head football coach, who is our offensive line coach. You can't get mad at a dog for not being able to do algebra. You just have to settle for being happy that it hasn't taken a shite on the floor.

This would be so far down my list of attributes in a list of many that would influence me as an AD. But, whatever.

I wonder how Hyman would have done in this situation. He did a good job in pulling Frank Martin here.

I think the big thing would be money, they probably could get away with paying Smart less than $4 million.

Yeah, I wonder the same thing. Would this already be wrapped up were Hyman still here?

He did a number of great things for the university, and its sports programs. But he still chose Darrin Horn over Gregg Marshall, and we'll probably regret that for the rest of our days.

I just don't see how they can be sold on him enough to hire him.

They could do a lot worse than Kirby. He can recruit, he knows real defense and he's a great leader. We're gonna miss him.

Damn. Bama might lose smart and Saban in the same year. You think smart stays to take over for Saban or bolts to the bulldogs?
