My source, who lives in Hattiesburg and is a Southern Miss alum, said that the world is that Smart didn't wait for an offer and told Southern Miss how much he wanted and that didn't go over well with the people conducting the interview.
Like I said earlier, I think Smart showing interest is all for show and is what Jimmy Sexton is doing to get his salary at Bama bumped up to a million per year.
