he would be good but can they afford him after the deal they made with kelly? Does he even want to come here? I personally want to take a swing at a young up and comer, ideally with some playing experience someone like kelvin Sheppard.

I just want a coach who is elite at coaching one side of the ball.

Its pretty clear money is not an issue at LSU

You need a great offense in today's game. Great defenses help ok offenses as seen esrly on with LSU this year. But great offenses will almost always beat out a great defense. the gane has changed and offenses have the edge now. With Lane yiu know yiu will have a top 20 offense. And you just hope he gets a DC that fields an average to above average defense.

That’s just simply inaccurate. Top 5-10 defense last year. Been shaky at times this year, but I’ve seen worse defenses being an Ole Miss fan. Outside of UGA last week, this year’s defense has made stops when needed to win games. That’s all you can ask with a Lane Kiffin offense on the other side. IF, and I know it’s a big if, but if, Ole Miss stops UGA on that 4th & 1 last week, I think we win the game — not a definite but a high probability.

I don't get you anti-kiffin guys. kiffin has been maturing through the years. he's done a helluva job at Ole miss.
He would be a horrible, horrible hire at LSU. Bad fit. Don't do it. Trust me on this. You don't want him. Look elsewhere.

That Bama job isn't coming anytime soon.

exactly, I understand why people like him. He's the flashy hire; and now... the hot shot $$$$$. But he always seems swarmy to me; but in a different way to Dabo's swarmy. Honestly, I had hoped Fickle was having a good time over at Wisconsin so I could point back to him. He was my pick when we got Kelly.
I'm crazy for saying it, but I'm side eyeing the BYU dude; something just feels right about him having the resources of LSU behind him, then possibly Baker till Aranda and Baylor part ways...

Kiffin is an OC. Same as Billy Napier. That is their role.
