I think that may be the case as well, but his Navy teams impress me. Very well disciplined and always prepared.

I think the discipline and preparedness of his teams has more to do with the type/mental make up of a player at Navy, rather than coaching style. Dont get me wrong, he runs a tight ship, but by default, his players already come in very disciplined and prepared because they are at the friggin Naval Academy. You could take football away from any cadet, and they would still be structured and prepared in how they handle every day life. Its a perk for a service academy team though.

Yep. I remember the 2009 peach bowl when GA tech had been running all over every ACC team that year. LSU held them to 3 points.

This. And that LSU team was 7-5 and the defense was god-awful. We still man handled GT.

I think he would be a good hire for Vanderbilt.

Georgia tech's problems have certainly not been their offense. It's been their defense and the fact that Johnson is a terrible recruiter.

I think Niumatalolo would be great with our athletes if he had a good DC. Who cares if we lose wide receivers? Our state produces shitloads of rbs and athletes. Our state does not produce many qbs, so it would be an advantage because we could play a guy like diarse, Magee, skyler green at qb.
