WTF are you basing that call on?

Meyer wasnt leaving Tebow. ND agreed by keeping CW for one more year. UM knew it was a risk, but he was willing to take it. The debate now, is if Urban wants to leave a National champ. But Donovan did it, to the same school, so its not out of the question.

Again, what are you basing that on?

Sounds like it's just you speculating to me.

Good to see that it's not just LSU fans that are holding out for 'Miles To Michigan/Round Three' next Fall.

I absolutely agree, if with ND's NBC and alum dough, if I'm AD Swarbrick, I go to Father Hessberg, whomever, or the Pope himself, get an OK, then I offer Urban or Saban..7 or 8M.

And get my program back to where it hasn't been in almost twenty years now.

I agree; I think the Pope has already authorized this. Look for the white smoke after Saturday's game.

According to UF ppl, they fear the offer is 40M over 5 yrs. Gonna be hard to top that. Also, they realize Meyers dream. While at Utah, talking about ND
quote:

"I have great respect for that university; that's the reason it's in my contract," said Meyer, who has a clause that allows him to leave for Notre Dame, Ohio State or Michigan without a buyout penalty.

While an asst at Ill St
quote:

My dad and mom drive to Terre Haute, nine hours, watch the game and drive home. How many would do that—to watch you coach?" Gisela was sure her boy was bound for glory. She would tell him, "You're going to be head coach at Notre Dame someday."

While as an asst at ND
quote:

Gisela died in June 2000, 64 years old. "She never saw me coach a game as a head coach," Meyer says. "That was her dream. That was all she talked about ... all she talked about ... all she talked about." Told that he must miss her, Meyer doesn't hesitate. "Horribly," he says.

What would motivate him to leave???
quote:

Of the 28 run-ins with police that Florida players have had since his arrival, 20 involved students Meyer recruited. There have also been players who violated what Meyer calls "our core values" and were tossed for good.

He envisions winning with players at ND whos share his "core values." Like Tebow.

The fact that ND would back the Brinks truck up to Myers' door step would be a concern for UF or any school for that matter.

Though I hope that you're right and that Myer goes to ND, I think you're putting too much stock in old quotes and things like this "core values" comment, which isn't even a Myers quote.

Nothing would make me happier than to see the meltdown at Bama or UF if either of their coaches goes to ND. I just don't see it though.

We'll find out soon enough.
