LMAO. Not true at all.

Right, it’s really really hard to win, and even harder to get one of those guys that has won to leave where they are.

I just looked that that 2020 schedule that was ranked 7th. Played Clemson twice, and bama. Take those away and he played 1 maybe two ranked teams total. Kelly has never had to compete week in and week out like he will here. Don’t care what stats you throw out.

It’s a little confusing why he would leave ND. Recruiting is not much of an issue there. They still get their share of the highly recruiting players. I don’t think it’s money, he’s been there a while and has to have some socked away. South Bend isn’t a sprawling metropolis, but neither is Baton Rouge. Not to mention the religious aspect of it. ND still is a Catholic school. LSU is anything but.

I’m sorry I don’t want a coach as old as him. I want someone that will bring energy to the program and to the recruiting trail every day. Please tell me what we are missing and not paying attention to
He said this summer that he feels good and wants to continue coaching as long as he's healthy.
He recruits nationally, and reels in top 10-15 classes to South Bend, IN with their academic restrictions. This also isn't 50 years ago when the ND coach can walk into any home and get a kid to sign just because it's Notre Dame.
Even with their limitations, he has won 54 games over the 5 years and made the playoffs twice while everybody still calls ND overrated and irrelevant every preseason.
If LSU's resources and recruiting base are good enough for younger, splashier hires to win championships with, they're good enough for a 60 year old with a long history of winning.
