I doubt Ole Miss can keep Lane on suspension(with pay) and not allow him to coach with zero justification? LOL, I’d bet he has something in his contract about that. Ole Miss suspends a coach for what reason? Refusing to sign an extension? Coaches don’t get suspended for that.

I'd leak it that lane is going to lsu but he wants us to wait until the bama game because he might have a shot at the bama job if they lose. 100-% believable and lsu fans will lose their minds

You’re grasping at straws here. No way his contract has a clause that says he can’t be paid for not working.

[quote]But what if he refuses to announce anything and refuses to sign the Ole Miss extension?[/quote

Then he remains OLE MISS coach under his currrent contract.

I will stop playing devil’s advocate, lol. My hope is Ole Miss reacts like the fans here(gets angry) and fires him or suspends him. That will make LSU’s life easier. Lane would be free to go with no mess. Please come through Ole Miss.

Interviewing with another team during the season maybe? Is that something that’s ever included in coaches contracts? If not, I can see this whole situation changing some things.

Let’s hope Ole Miss suspends him with pay and we find out. Lane leaves Ole Miss for $3 million and Ole Miss keeps their buyout. Best case scenario for all parties involved. It seems like Lane is forcing Ole Miss into this option.

It’s doubtful Lane ever met with LSU. Sexton likely did it.

If I’m LSU I just sit and let Ole Miss hash all this out with Lane. Let Ole Miss give their ultimatum and force Lane to make a decision. That’s what they are doing. Let’s hope Ole Miss keeps that hard line. I’m definitely in favor of them pressing Lane hard.
