Syracuse fan here who married into LSU and has enjoyed it more than I can tell you.
Schiano is a snake and you NEVER want him to be hc. Nobody has done less with more. The apex of his time at Rutgers was a texas bowl appearance. They pounded terrible ooc teams and a godawful big east (I should know!) to become bowl eligible, and that's the extent of it.
That said, he can recruit fantastically in Florida...and would probably like to parlay the dc job into something bigger sooner than later so I don't think he'd be here long enough to be hc.

Just curious. I worked for an agency where he was a board member. He might still be. He was a really great guy.
