Most importantly, they'll have to adapt this offense to what best suits Brennan's skill set. I'm skeptical that E can get that done.

That's a tough task for anyone. What evidence do you have that Brady could get that done?

we have a fairly large sample size of E being a poor to mediocre sole OC.

This team wins 7 games next year if Ensminger is the OC

You mean assuming he's not able to find someone to fill Brady's shoes.

And, this team was taking a step back just based on the talent being lost regardless of whether Brady was still here. I don't think wins and losses should only be put on Ensminger.

I'm more confident that Brady could get it done.

We saw what both could do with Burrow. Burrow was a 57% passer under E's tutelage. Based on what I saw this season that suggests that he had no idea of how to maximize his skillset.

Actually, you're wrong. When Brady came to LSU after Ensminger recommended to Ed O to hire him, he brought with him the Saint's offense and some really new and innovative techniques for coaching and training wide receivers.

The primary thing he brought was an implementation of combo routes, an effective protection scheme, and the ability to execute all of his concepts out of a spread formation. In particular, the ability to attack the middle of the field opened up everything.

I'm not convinced that Ensminger just had to see it and can run with it. I'm 100% sure Ensminger did learn from it. In the end, we'll have to wait and see.

everyone expects regression next year, that offense is an impossible standard to live up to. I'd say most still expect us to keep the same philosophies and principles and be among the best in the conference. That's the expectation.

Thanks, captain obvious

The position will be filled. People are acting like Ensminger is the Lone Survivor just sitting up in the coaches box by himself.

I believe the steps taken to advance the offense this year are permanent. Most likely scenario is a similar situation to what we just had, a young PGC type person comes in with Ensminger.

Hopefully they learn from each other, and the new person takes over for Ensminger in the near future.

I'm sure that's what they hoped would happen with Brady.
