no, but i will be the one saying i told you so when malzahn is a top 3 coach in the country in 5 years and he is beating us every year and the only reason hes not our coach is b/c we were scared and didnt use any foresight

There was a post on a Maryland board that someone in the Dallas media has tweeted that Jones turned down $3.5 million from Maryland.

I'm not that close to the Maryland search, but the only way the Terps come up with that kind of money is if UnderArmour underwrites it. All the rumor mill rumblings are that UA (Kevin P.) wants Leach. The fans certainly do. Jones would be a tremendous let down to the fanbase.

SMU has lots of money, lots and lots and lots of money. Since they are a private school, I don't think they have to report what their coaches make, but I would guess that Jones is making bank.
