Jimbo and LSU got screwed in 2015 when LSU decided to keep Les Miles one more year. Jimbo was suddenly stuck in an untenable position at FSU, and LSU suddenly was the gang that couldn’t shoot straight.

Forward one year. LSU wants a do over, and Jimbo has his panties in a wad. In steps A&M with a severe case of Tiger penis envy, and more money than they know what to do with. Let’s examine the facts of life.

LSU is a much better school to win National Championships than A&M. A&M is willing to pay more and put up with mediocrity longer than LSU. Proof?! Programs have their ups and downs; their great and shite coaches, but their all time winning percentages reflect the inherent quality and quantity of their recruiting talent base. In the SEC, depending upon the year LSU and Georgia are the 3rd most winningest teams. Nick Saban knew this in Michigan State, and had his agent pursue LSU. He won his first Natty here. And where does aTm rank in the winning SEC list? Seven of fourteen, yes the very definition of mediocre, and with Texas and Oklahoma coming in they are 9 of 16, below average.

Jimbo would do well to pull the panties out of his butt crack, and pursue LSU with a vengeance. However in my opinion, there are better candidates available for LSU to choose from. I think after 2019, declaring the new position in mid October, and with Woodward at the helm, LSU is shopping in a buyer’s market. And Jimbo is not on the top of the shopping list.
