I can't believe Alleva would push Miles out without a viable option already locked up. The TAF / AD would be stupid to risk ticket sales for '16 on 'we think we can get a real coach' - Miles will still get tickets sold, and thus the budget balanced.
With that in mind, I can only imagine Miles is gone if the AD has a viable option locked-up.

Ace midnight is a FSU fan posing as LSU. No wonder all the negativity around Jimbo leaving FSU.
I would tend to think Jimbo would love to be in the SEC with LSU. Same way that Dabo would want to be in the SEC at Alabama

You may be right, but if this is the case then Alleva better have a pretty strong plan b because at this point you've boxed yourself into a corner with Les. No way he can come back and not be seriously damaged.

Why on Earth would Jimbo Fisher leave FSU to come to LSU when he will almost certainly get the offer matched by FSU (and is the whole reason this seems to be occurring)?
And then the LSU AD gets his, "Oh shite - I've been had by Jimmy Sexton moment." - now, he'll probably have some other client waiting in the wings who may or may not have real interest in the job.

Bookmarked just in case. You and so many others are so damn sure of yourself.
I'm cautiously optimistic, but I'd be satisfied with a couple other guys as well.

Jumbo barely made it to playoffs with Florida state talent in a shitty ACC. How will he do against more talented teams? I don't like fisher for LSU. Plus he's pretty sleazy.

Your boy is 63-64? He doesn't have that much time left. Bama is a great, if not the greatest program in college football but don't think that the program can't take a step back after Saban. I would take Jimbo over Bert, Sumlin, Freeze, Mullen, and Gus today. Don't think Jimbo would have that hard of a time getting LSU to Atlanta.

Barely made it? He was undefeated with a NC in 2013 and in 2014, his only loss was in the playoffs.

Look, I'm not claiming to be in the know or anything. With that being said, I've seen way to much stuff to be skeptical. I don't blame you, I was doubtful myself until last night. I don't know why these people who actually are in the know would spill the beans, maybe its a for sure certainty and they know something we don't. But last night a poster slipped up and came out and spoke for DALSU, and I looked at his post history. He had an email on the ticket exchange that was his name. I Googled it, and told him to delete the thread or the old post with the email on it. That post has been deleted but its a guy with a lot of connections to LSU and is more than likely a high money donor. I have the screen shots, but I'm not railroading a fellow lsu fan. I'm not saying you have to believe it, but unless something happens between now and then its going to happen.
