I'm just throwing this out for discussion. Not advocating. But with USC and UCLA football now behind the NFL in Socal (meaning they're losing a lot of media attention), AND assuming we don't get Herman/Jimbo/Kelly etc,and CEO does not pan out...

Does Mora rank ahead of Kingsbury, Mullen, etc?

Upside is he could expand LSU recruiting in California, and knows Louisiana. Downside is he's never won anything.

We'd have to be way down the list in order for him to be considered IMO. He's a west coast guy and he can't get UCLA over the hump, even with USC down.

I don't understand why people like Hanigriff bring him up anymore.

Fair enough, but if we don't go with O, and don't get the top dogs, we're gonna have to deal with "that $hit"

Have an upvote. I like the guy and always have and for whatever reason I just have had a consistent feeling that he would be a damn good fit at LSU.

Just a gut instinct thing.

they are just building him a brand new football ops building, but i believe he is a Sexton client so id say he could be on the table. Would be a really good hire

Neuheisel W% at UCLA: .429
Karl Dorrell W% at UCLA .565
Bob Toldeo W% at UCLA .605

Jim Mora W% at UCLA .686

4 of the 5 previous seasons before he took over were losing seasons.

In the previous 17 seasons, they've won 9 games or more 4 times. Jim Mora has 3 of those seasons, including back to back 10 win seasons.

He recruits well. Has some roots here. would be a great hire

So at this point UCLA is probably where LSU was when Saban arrived. LE, you are spot on. If Sexton sees a gold mine here, you better believe he's gonna push it. No way UCLA wins a bidding war with LSU. And he then coaches back in the east where ppl will actually see him coach. Better for NFL aspirations.
