longhorn insiders are saying that grimes is the top candidate for the texas o-line job, and some think he'll be announced wednesday. He's a texas native, plus his relationship with christian westerman puts him at the top of the list.

I get that it's a coaching change, but I don't see you getting any traction on this thread, especially today. Texas coaching staff is left field unless it centers around Chavis or Moffit.

more info- texas first choice as o-line coach was bob bostad- wisconsin, but he was not going to come here with out coordinator paul chryst. The though on Jeff grimes is that he will lock down the o-line recruits and he's familiar with our new oc harsin from boise, plus possible ncaa sanctions might make grimes interested in coming back home. It is not close to a done deal but he appears to be the guys, if we dont get him then joe wickline osu will be our guy.
