James Franklin offensive style does not impress me

He doesn’t impress me at all. When have you looked at a penn st team and thought how good they are or how well coached. Just seems meh

From my understanding he is a ground it out type of coach. I don't really watch most of their games though.
Could be boring. I am not a fan of that style either. They shouldn't have lost to Iowa even with a backup qb. Seems like they were struggling offensively before the QB got injured. Fans were upset he didn't have a legit #2 backup. I believe his backup QB is the one who is playing at Kentucky now though.

They have a brand new OC in Mike Yurcich who has been at Oklahoma State, Ohio State and Texas. He's definitely a spread coach and not a ground it out at all.
He probably just has to work with the personnel he has.
He was the OC at Texas last year and was not retained by Sark when he was hired.
