Correct. You don't appear to be bright, do not demonstrate any leadership level thinking, and like to rag on people who can do things you can't do yourself. As I said last week, the Chief is the absolute best opportunity we had for a durable and winning defensive program at LSU.

After reading 14 pages, I've come to these conclusions:

1. Chavis is hired.

2. Coach O is a strong possibility but uncommitted, but Haley is the backup option.

3. Vance Joseph will probably be the DB coach.

4. Belowpar is a god.

5. Maximus is a d*ck.

The last two are the only ones with concrete evidence.

But he's one of the funnier dicks on here. Hideo Nomo is pretty much comedy gold too.

I guess we could put those two to a vote, if we have to. #5 we should probably make multiple choice, use lots of negative anatomical and carnal descriptions.

And on the Rant, being a "funny dick" is not necessarily (or always) a bad thing.

But sometimes it is....

You had to know you were going to get this kind of response.

You are correct and thanks, except what you don't know it that I lost a hand in Nam a long time ago and it is easier for me to cut and paste.

You don't think the combo of coaches mentioned can be great? I think Chavous alone would be a shaky hire, but with the other two it could be great. If nothing else it proves Miles is willing to do what it takes to right the ship unlike Dinardo.

I think it is a great hire! Thanks BP!

And what does it say that I read it on The Advocate "breaking news" headline first and then came here to see if it was true according to BP?

He was and I become pretty predictable in which way I would drive to the basket. You got spirit and strong opinions - keep it up.

How good is this information and what is motivating him to leave the DB position in the NFL with a new 5 year contract coach who will turn them around?

I just don't see where this comes from. The facts are that the Tennessee defense finished #4 in the country in total defense, while their offense finished #115. How Chavis pulled this off is anything short of amazing considering he coaches in the SEC.

Chavis is the ONLY COACH who has this sort of proven history compared to any of the other available candidates.

You guys are nuts. If you have a disablement, you learn how to do a lot of things that are not always the most logical. Cut corners and develop bad habits to just get things done. -- kind of like Reggie Millier shooting a basketball like no coach would ever teach.

So who is John Chavis and why besides the obvious, why should I be excited that he is our DC?
