It’s a paradox, but it’s actually better for our recruiting of A&M wins handily today

Since it’s Jimbo and all

Man watching this game just reminds me why I don't want Jimbo. Would he even be there right now if he didn't hire his DC? He's carried his arse the past few seasons with his defense. I get it's hyperbole to compare him to Miles since he's better but goddamn do I get Les Miles vibes over the years since he went to TAMU.
Playing great defense, isn't really developing QBs(don't say Mond because he sucked and stuck it to someone dumb enough to draft him), offensive struggles, excellent elite recruiter, too stubborn to evolve offensive philosophy, consistent winner but not great. Les Miles part 2.
He's an upgrade over Miles for sure but he does nothing for me on the excitement level. It's such a lazy hire I'm sorry. No ceiling at all. Go get someone young and promising for that money or someone like CUM.

I know you're connected and you're probably hearing that...
But I hope you're hearing the same bullshite everyone else is hearing.
A Jimbo hire would be the most lazy and bland hire of Woody's career. High floor, low ceiling. If they wanted to just keep on winning 8-10 games a year, they should've just kept Miles. Aranda or Riley would be much more exciting. And if you're hearing from your OU associates the same stuff I'm hearing from mine, Riley leaving for LSU is laughable at best and completely delusional at worst.

You don’t make sense. You don’t want to hire Jimbo because it’s a lazy hire and you think Riley is much more exciting.
But then you say you’re hearing that Riley leaving OU for LSU is delusional.
So how can Woody get Riley if you say it’s impossible?

Never said it was impossible. Nothing is impossible. Hell, LSU could pull N$ from the red monster.
Just said I've heard it's laughable. Riley would be an exciting hire because of his offense. Likely to happen? Who knows. Probably not.
Jimbo is a better coach than Orgeron and it's not even debatable. I just feel like Aranda would bring more stability and excitement to LSU. LSU seems like it does better with defensive minded HCs, and they'd be hard pressed to find a more meticulous, cerebral defensive coach than Aranda, that would jump on board in a heartbeat and has recent familiarity with the program.
