I would like to think Muschamp would want to come to LSU as a head coach, Im just wondering what makes the talking heads think so. Naturally, being an LSU graduate, I am biased and would like to say that its the best coaching gig in the world, however after Katrina , I dont know that Baton Rouge provides the best quality of life when compared with other university towns or cities. Anyway, I believe Muschamp has paid his dues, and if the time comes, I for one would love him to be back in Tigerland.

Muschamp and his wife loved Baton Rouge when he was here. Recruiting in Louisiana is easy for the LSU coach, so you can concentrate on poaching the neighboring states. The facilities are top notch and will stay like that for the foreseeable future.

the ideal situation is to follow a failed coach.
Saban - Shula
FYI - Saban did not follow Shula. For all intents and purpose he followed Dave Wannstedt who was 42-31 in 5 seasons (200-2004). Jim Bates finished that season going 3-4 as the interim Head coach.
Calling the winningest head coach in NFL history a "failed coach" may be the dumbest thing ever posted on the rant. And "Les - Saban" insinuate that Saban is a "failed coach" too?

Ever heard of Mike Shula?
Also, Muschamp needs to take one of these big jobs when they open up. All it will take is for Texas to have a couple of years of bad defense, and the shine on his star will be diminished. He needs to hit it while the iron is hot.
