Clearly the OP doesn't know about Norvell's Scarface-like cocaine habbit, and the fact he's knocked up half the Pom Squad. He makes Kiffin look like a choir boy

That’s who I would wanna go to war with.

I think this dude’s cute, yes

He aged well.

He actually looks better at 40 then he did at 20. Some guys are lucky that way. Others get round and fat, hair gets weird, and it’s like damn what happened to him.

Arkansas was going after him hard when the job first came open, but talks and the rumors surrounding them have since died down. I think this has become a Sexton special where he's playing Arkansas against FSU for the highest bidder. If we're going by history with these battles, I don't like Arkansas' chances. Who knows with our new AD and current state of the program though.

At some point you have to know when something is no longer a good investment and realize there are other options and perform good cost benefit analysis.

Otherwise you end up like A&M.

Seriously though this Norvell is a Colombian Drug Lord with a dozen baby mamas needs to be one of the first posts whenever the next “Best unfounded rumors in college sports” thread gets made. Those threads are always fun.

He got a serious look from TN, Ole Miss, and Arkansas last go round; and all three found skeletons that caused them to immediately back off. There is an argument to be made that he's a helluva coach, and that he's kept whatever it is pretty well under wraps; and you could argue that all three schools would be in a better on field situation had they hired him. But there are definitely some skeletons there that were found by these 3 schools the last go round.

He didn't get a serious look from UT. Turned down Ole Miss (which is the origin of his "skeletons"). Arkansas picked the wrong candidate.

Or maybe they felt he wasn’t ready yet.

He’s only been a HC for 3 years now.

Agreed that Ark picked the wrong guy, but he definitely got a look from TN during TN's last shite storm of a search. TN found the same stuff as Ole Miss. Probably for the best for him since he's flourished at Memphis, and likely has a better payday lined up now.
