Is Mullen unattractive or unlucky?

Had UGA not fired Les Jr. he would have gotten the U. I think Maryland went cheap and didn't want pay big time money. Why USC isn't all in? You want Chomp or Merlin? UVA would do well to give the man a look see. Hell at this point I think he would go to Memphis to get the hell out of Dodge. What gives with no offers? Mullen doesn't have dick cancer like Leach.

Ask yourself, can Lou and Steve be that wrong? They must know how to treat the HBC. USC is not career ending opportunity it is an opportunity to end your career, as in cush. Do you think either of the legends would have wound the clock out in Starkville?

Mullen has priced himself out of likely job opportunities. He'll need to win the conference or string together a few 10 win seasons to justify any program paying $5M+ for him.

Yeah, I've heard stories about how he can be extremely abrasive, and Maisel's article seems to confirm it.
"He's a great guy once you get to know him" is code for "he's a complete arse hole." I'd bet that he interviews pretty poorly, especially after experiencing success as a HC.
Still, he's a really good coach, and no one has done more with less than he has.

Mullen is a great coach. Once an AD at one of the bigger schools realizes that coaching ability >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> how a guy comes off in an interview, he will reel off a few NCs.
