Does anyone know for a fact? If so bring sources.

I doubt they have had a chance to sit and talk with Les yet. Maybe something by the end of next week. I have a feeling he will be forced to fire crowton to keep from losing season tickets.I just think the buyout is too much to get rid of him any earlier than after next season.

That's what I meant. No way he is done this year. Everyone understands that.

He has to be. If not, the AD should be fired. To win 2 NCs in a decade, and become one of the top ranked programs in the country and then suddenly go to shite for a year after an off-set year (every great program has one, just look at USC this year and Florida will probably have theirs next year) is unacceptable.
I'm fairly convinced they are going to sit LM down and tell him either he gets LSU a SEC West title and improves the record to a top 10 finish or he best start looking for a new job.
Good article saying he's got 2010 to turn it around:

The Admin and BOS will never fire Miles, even if no one is in the stands.

I heard from several sources following the Ole Miss game that Crowton was out and that he wouldn't coach the bowl game.....now that hasn't happened, anyones guess is as good as mine. I hope there is some fire to the smoke, but at this point if I had to guess I would say 70-30 he stays unfortunately.
What's kind of funny though is that Miles pretty much threw him under the bus for the OM loss, and the same situation happened on Saturday.

No hot seat for Miles. Very good coach with overrated talent IMO

What's kinda of funny is the Administration pretty much acts like Miles and pretends everything will workout ok.
No fire in the Administration. No leadership from Miles. And a disorganized football product on the field. Amazing no one in power does not see this. Remember, this is the same mentality that hired Curly Hallman.
How long, oh lord, how long?

Where are you getting this info from?

if your source of creditable information comes from bleacherreport.com you might have bigger issues.
read the bio's on the authors, you will understand

Both games were lost because of bad officiating, and Les Miles stood by silently both times. Had this happened to Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, Houston Nutt, Lane Kiffin, or Steve Spurrier, it would have made national headlines, because they are all coaches with the testicular fortitude to raise a little hell when necessary.
Love it!
There certainly haven't been any Lesticle sightings the past couple of years. I think Hester took them to San Diego with him.
ETA: In answer to the original question, as I said yesterday, Alleva was satisfied for years with the Duke football program, so 8-5 and 9-4 seasons probably have him patting himself and Les on the back. And Skeletor Lombardi is too busy screwing the staff and fricking up TOPS to be bothered with mundane things like the state of his biggest revenue stream.

I don't think Alleva will fire a 9-4 Head Coach.

this is where the emotion of fans takes over, the program hasn't gone to shite, and probably won't go to shite. The administration uses a different set of measures than the fans in relation to the shite scale.

not even close for next year. If he wins 8 or less next year, then perhaps he'll be on hot seat for 2011, the more he loses the hotter the seat will be for 2011. If he wins 9 games next year, he's fine.

I know for a fact that if he only wins 8 games again he's gone. But why in the hell would I put my source name on here.....

I thought 8 wins meant an extension? When was his contract renegotiated?
