I'm not sure how to answer that right now, and if I did, I'm not sure I would tell you.

Why would this guy be your number one. Please supply information on the performance of his defenses.

dont have any numbers but from what I read he is very respected in the coaching circles and thought of as being the best DC in the Pac 10

Pretty damn interesting...he expressed interest in the Utah freaking State HC job just last week, so dude is openly looking for another situation.

I know he withdrew his name from consideration yesterday, but that doesn't mean he's not interested in other opportunities (and, cue the black helicopters, he may have withdrawn specifically because of "other opportunities" that have presented themselves recently).

Wonder if DJ McCarthy dropped some knowledge on CLM this week about Coach Walker...

Miles coached with Walker at OSU when both were assistants. Also, there was some contact with him about the job last year, I'm sure Miles knows about the guy without having to go to McCarthy.

I think the big hurdle with Walker is that he wants to stay on the West Coast.

His name was in the hat last year but that's what held it up from what I remember reading

Walker is a hot coach right now, bt realistically I can't see him making a lateral move from UCLA to LSU. When he leaves UCLA it will be for a head coaching job.

I doubt it. I still think Udub can attract a proven head coach. But if they're gonna go after an assistant, then Walker would be a great hire.

I agree, but like Muschamp TX, Jimbo FSU, and Pellini LSU, we could provide him a much better stepping stone to get a HC job. UCLA has a long way to go on talent to be competitive in the PAC 1.
