Word has been out there that the guys aren’t working real hard,” said Chris Landry, a former NFL scout who now works as a consultant for nearly a dozen teams. “It’s been talked among scouting circles for a while. It’s more: Buyer beware."

quote:

“The program has slipped from a discipline and work-ethic standpoint,” Landry said. “They’re not nearly as demanding on them.”

quote:

He said LSU’s coaches failed to push those players, and as a result, they adopted poor approaches as acceptable

Compared to Saban's regime, couldn't this be valid?

And I'm not bashing Miles- but isn't it possible he doesn't demand as much out of the guys as the Nicktator?

I believe it. Michigan is a very cash strapped state with a poor economy right now. I can see them not being able to come close to what Miles makes now. No matter how much he loves Michigan, Miles isn't going to take a big pay cut to go there. Good news.

Michigan better whip out the check book if they want to be relevant again...

Michigan makes about 80 million in Football, they can afford 3-4 million on a HC easily

What were they paying RR?

i've only listened 2 or 3 times but at least 90% of the time was taken up by the caller saying hello to Krysan, then Krysan burping hello back, then the caller says hello to Landry, Landry says hello back, Landry asks how are you, Landry's doing fine, callers doing pretty good for a Monday, by the time all that is out of the way its time for a break.

Well put.

I love the intro: "Tommy Krysan, with over 20 years of broadcasting experience."

Kige could say the same thing in another 10 years. Does that qualify him to be a talk show host on the 5000 watt flamethrower?

For what it's worth:

Charles and Gordy just reported that Harbaugh turned down like 5.3 mil from Michigan.

This poor cash strapped state just got thru putting a 230M renovation on the Big House.

The state and the University of Michigan are two different animals. Our endowment fund used to sit around 8B...yes eight billion.

We can afford to pay what we want. Historically we havent, but it wasnt due to finances. According to the Dave Brandon press conference, he believes in paying market value.

If you are going to talk about us, then at least know what you are talking about.

I think it's going to take $4-5 M to get Miles if he wants to leave. Do you see Michigan paying that?

Well considering they offered Harbough 5.3M I'm guessing they would pay less 4M

But from what I heard, the power and $$ guys really wanted Harbaugh. Not so much with Miles. That being the case, are they still willing to pay $4M? He's getting $3.9M at LSU.

Doesn't Les have a $1,250,000 buyout if he goes to UM? Who is gonna pony up that cash? I know they paid somewere around 2.5 mil to buyout UWV for RR, didn't they?

frick Chris Landry said that shite about the program, and now we have D. Bowe and Dorsey doing well, Hester, and K.W making some noise. Typical media bullshite because JR was a bust all our players sucked because of coaching.
