His resume wasn’t enough and interview wasn’t nearly as good as Bo Pelini

Per the MSU guys couple of issues. One philosophical (O wants way more 4 man fronts and pressure with 5 than Arnett) and the buyout is 2M (went into effect as soon as he signed not Feb 1 as to be believed) and MSU will not negotiate.

They also believe he is down the list at Texas, but they are the lone school they are worried about.

MSU folks also think Os target is Neilson and is waiting on the NFL playoffs to run their course..

Judging by your threads, I don't think you being confused is anything we can fix for you.

Based on the comments above from some State insiders, it sounds like Lukabu might make a better fallback option for O than Arnett:

Link from an SI article on Lukabu

quote:

But when Lukabu does sit down to figure out what will work at Boston College in terms of scheme, he is going to start with his personnel and move backwards. He explained that many coaches come up with "great ideas on the board" but they fail because "if our guys can't do them it doesn't matter." The strategy has to fit the personnel, and that is something he is continuing to evaluate.

His strategy and scheme is constantly evolving, just as it has been throughout his career. This should make watching his defenses different every, as he is always "willing to try new things" he told reporters. And he will have to as he faces new and innovative offenses up and down BC's schedule.

This flexibility in scheme and approach might mesh more with what O is looking for.

The article on the TD home page says he "... will not be the Tigers' DC." The Feldman tweet the imbed says he "is not expected to become the DC at LSU." So doesn't look like it.
