HC of the Troy Trojans.

Currently sitting at 10 wins, AND he can actually beat LSU.

Ball is in your court vols.

Neal probably wouldn’t be the right hire. I know him and like him but he’s essentially going to run a similar program to what you see at Kentucky. I think Tennessee needs a bigger name whose proven they can recruit nationally.

....and I'm sure those bigger names are just lining up to come to UT right now:

1. If the "bigger names" wanted to be there in the first place Schiano wouldn't have been hired.

2. The "bigger names" are likely in a stable situation right now. Why would they leave that to go to a place where the AD essentially has no power; fans and legislators influence personnel decisions and the two just conspired to torpedo a long time coach's career?

Coaches are a fraternity. I promise they are siding with Schiano here instead of Tenn.

I’ve known Neal for around 10 years back when he first worked under Tony Franklin at Troy. I been to about 15-20 clinics with Neil and know his offense because we all run the same thing. Tennessee didn’t give their coaching search the time it needed. Neal is a good coach but I’m telling you the product won’t be much different from what you see at Kentucky.

Much bettter fit than Tennessee and honestly the Texas Tech job is more ideal for someone like Neal since he coached the same offense and actually coordinated there under Tuberville.

His name has come up once or twice with the Arkansas job. I met him several years back at a Tony Franklin System clinic. You could tell back then as a young WR coach he just seemed to have the "it" factor. I would have no problem at all with him coming to Arkansas.
