Saban will go wherever the money is. If LSU or someone else would pony up over 4 mil. consider it a done deal.

What exactly did Saban do? He didn't go to Bama for the money. He probably got tired of working as hard as NFL coaches do and got tired of dealing with egocentric asses in the NFL. Perhaps he enjoyed and wanted to get back to the SEC where he was comfortable. The only chance Saban had at that was Bama at the time and thought he should go while his stock was still high. He definitely regrets ever leaving LSU. That much is obvious.

I'd take him back and you really don't know football if you wouldn't.

Forgiveness... maybe. Job NO!!

I honestly don't know how good a coach he is.

1- He did pretty good at Mich St but never won the Big 10.

2- He sucked at Miami and left it worse than he found it.

3- Is Bama better in 07 than they were in 06?

4- He won at LSU and we got a NC in 2003. If Missouri, W VA or Ohio St win a NC, does that mean they have the best coach in college football? There are many factors that go into play to win a NC. Part of it is coaching.

LSU was a program on par with Ole Miss when he arrived. Plain & simple.
