This makes no sense. He went from high school to small college to mid major to major college to a couple of bad NFL franchises to a much better NFL franchise.

It’s a literal straight line of career advancement.

Look at what I said in context. I didn’t say Jones sucks or has a terrible resume. I said it was disappointing when you compare him to Freeman, who we came very close to getting. He just isn’t that same level of candidate.

Jones isn’t on the level of Nielsen either, but they are a little closer.

Might’ve had something to do with being hired under a different regime. He was a holdover from the Marvin Lewis era. New coach and DC want to bring in their own guys.
