Incompetent to make Orgeron official this early

Coach O was going nowhere. He was not rumored to be in the running for any other HC jobs.
The rush to make this official hours after the season ending is troubling.
Bring in Fleck, Fedora, etc for interviews. Show me Coach O beat out other candidates for the job.
We are a couple weeks away from Bloody Monday in the NFL. Who knows what other candidates would come available.

My thoughts exactly. The timing of the presser, during the biggest game, to date, of this CFB season, smells of JA not wanting the most publicity. He must be embarrassed.

This is my biggest issue, what the frick was the rush. Ok we struck out on 2 homers. Why not run a legit search? Bc Alleva is a bitch he let 17-23 year olds hold him hostage.

That's the thing.
Could have hired a "Tier 2" (non Herman/Jimbo) candidate for probably 1/2 the price, and Orgeron would have stayed on board with a nice raise.

I think yaw yaw can be ok. He can recruit and he did bring some favorable changes. I'll feel better once Lane is inked and bdp is homeless.

Chip Kelly at 1-9 is on the path. What NFL team will hire Chip after 2 failed stents?
We have no idea what candidates would be available. Technically, the only names we went after weren't really options. Herman was a UT lock, and Jimbo would need unrealistic package to leave FSU.
If you weren't gonna pay Herman over $6M, should have never even considered him as an option.

No one with a brain would object to being patient.
Bama didn't hire Saban until January 3rd. Had they decided on a coach on 11/26, he never would have been an option.
