Not if the team looks prepared, well coached, and developing rather than stagnant or regressing.

Improvement as far as play on the field, not just in record, gives you optimism that the team will be better next year.

Under Les, I have yet to feel this way since 2008.

THat's not why we're paying him that much. We're paying him that much for past accomplishments that warranted that money in his contract.

That's fine, except he's getting that bump for one year where he was bailed out by other teams majorly fricking up and LSU is paying for it for what will be 7+ years if he's here through 2014. He's not giving back money for under-performance now is he?

LSU just got its first penalty of the game at the end of the 3rd quarter.

Totally unprepared.

Of course not. That's the way football goes sometimes.

Again, you're just going to be miserable as long as he is here, no matter the results. If he has to have a perfect season every year to satisfy, then that tells me alot about how you feel about him personally and that's why there will always be people in your camp who are going to be right there with you hating his guts no matter the results.

Do they not look prepared tonight? What about this team is regressing???

And give the whole 4 weeks preparation argument a rest... A&M had the same amount of time to prepare for us as well!

Going perfect and winning the SEC are two different things.

I just don't think LSU wins another SEC West title under Les.

This team shows the same problems the past 2 years with little progress and little killer instinct.

His history simply shows that he will find ways to coach LSU to losses. He'll have a few surprise wins, but outside of the Bama game, he has't outcoached anyone and that was only in the second half.

And has nothing to do with this argument. Other coaches prepare well within a week. Les needs 2+ weeks to do so.

Les isn't a bad coach, but he needs more time than most coaches to prepare. That doesn't mean coaches getting more time will outcoach him. It means unless he has a lot of time, he isn't nearly as good as other coaches in those short periods of time.

It's not like Auburn and Alabama are unbeatable. We have what it takes to beat them. We beat Bama this year and Auburn will not have another Cam Newton.

We won 9 games last year. 11 this year. Even when Saban was here, especially his last year, we didn't dominate everyone. People have a different standard for him because they hate his guts.

Saban did the same when he was here.

Any fan who wants perfection all the time is going to be miserable.

Per a family member of Pelini's, the deal is done and Miles is gone. Don't shoot the messenger, and no I don't have a link (spoke to the guy).

While they will drop off when Newton leaves, it's not like they won't have talent. Bama is loaded with talent, and we struggled against them only to nearly lose to a horrible OM team after that.

Again, you can talk about the wins all you want, and it's not at 11 yet for this season. Furthermore, I don't expect to dominate every team. I do expect domination against significantly weaker opponents, and he's shown that we have to hold our breath for nearly every game no matter how shitty the opponent.

Yup, but Saban built us into a championship program, he didn't get to take a championship level program. You also knew Saban was involved in playcalling. He was basically our DC. At times, I have no idea what Les does during games outside of clapping his freaking hands.

Where did I state anything about perfection? Jump to conclusions much? Being outcoached in 2/3rds of your game isn't bitching about lack of perfection.

He was outcoached in the UNC, Ole Miss, Mcneese, West Virginia, Tennessee, Auburn, and Arkansas games.

That is the problem.

I also understand that Pelican will run the story after the game.

Bama is still beatable.

As long as we win, that's all that matters. That's the ultimate objective.

This is why I said there is a different standard for Miles than there was for Saban.

In the grand scheme, what you think from how ever many thousand miles away on that doesn't really matter.

quote:

You didn't have to state anything. You want domination. It's the undercurrent that jumps out in your posts.

As long as we come out with the win, that's all that matters. You're not being honest because it's clear that you don't care if we win all our games. As long as we don't blow folk out like we did against Va. Tech, you're going to be unhappy. And you can be that way. Just don't deny it.

BP didn't say for sure. But, I am hearing that he is gone. Not trying to upstage BP at all. I like reading his posts. Just passing on info I received tonight from what i consider to be reliable sources.

Has LSU already talked to Pelini?

TAF has been in contact with Bo's reps to gauge his interest. I was told that tonight Bo was advised that Miles will take the offer to Mich.
