in college football. Big difference implementing a complicated D with 6-10 year NFL vets and a 19 year old. His D's are generally catagorized as a "Bend, Don't Break" style which hauntingly reminds me of a former LSU DC. Personally, I think Tenn. has spent alot of money on a dog and pony show that should completely implode by the third year.

I really don't think that Kiffin knows what he is getting himself into in the SEC.

I'm going to withhold judgment until his defense actually plays some games.

I suspect they will be able to get some recruits.

Kids will want to play for the kiflins and orgeron.

These coaches have a big name. Tenn has good facilities.

Recruits don't care if you won a national championship ten years ago. They care who is winning now or who is exciting and can win in the future.

Personally I am glad we don't play a cover 2 defense. Watching that impostor called the Colts D and the Tampa Bay D this year at times makes you throw up sometimes. If the players don't create turnovers, the Defense does not dominate and it's more painful to bear than ancient chinese torture

Did neither Kffins nor O get the memo that UT has become the new UK, in essence, a mere basketball school! Hell even Bill King who is a huge UT fan has admitted this to be true

When someone starts a thread and cannot even spell the coaches name correctly, who they are saying will suck mind you, it kind of defeats the purpose. Then again, judging from the grammatical skills of a large part of the people on this site, you are right.......who cares!

Maybe I looked at the stats wrong but didn't his offense actually decline from Norm Chow's at USC? I really hadn't seen anywhere he'd been an immense success.

The key will recruiting. If he can't recruit better than Fulmer, he will fail.

Vol Fans, the key guy is the HC. Lane seems like he is weak, Daddy's boy, and over his head. Recruits and their parents will see through this. I look for a 3 year stint until Tn hire an experienced coach.

A Super Bowl winning Defensive Coordinator doesn't know what he's getting himself into in the SEC.

Ive seen some ignorant things posted on this site, but this takes the cake.

They are going with the bama theory...throw enough money at the problem and hope it goes away. Yes, that usually does implode because the hired help is has one master, money!

Always baffled me about the Kiffin hire. Was him being made head coach based that he would also bring his dad in as DC? I would have thought Tenn. would have a shot at a more experienced coach. Money certainly wasn't an issue since the Vols have been throwing it around.
