I'm torn on Saban

I'm really struggling as to whether i'd want him back. LSU would not be where it is today without Saban, period. But, the main question I keep coming to is "can someone change?" Now here is what I mean by that. Saban has publicly stated it was a mistake to leave. This team is not a disciplined team at all. Under Saban LSU would not have 1 game with over 100 yards of penalties.
I really believe Saban wants to be here. I truly believe he loves the people and fans. Now, I like him as a coach. No matter where he is in college football he's a top 5 coach. He would keep LSU atop the upper echelon for many years to come.
Now, many people don't mind that he left for Miami, it's how he left. He lied, plain and simple. He said he wasn't going, and he went. Some people are mad that he came back to CF and chose Bama. Well, if every school (including LSU) was available when he came back he would have chosen LSU over every college. There's a rumor he's willing to take a paycut and include a buyout in his contract (something he doesn't do) to come back here.
No matter how you look at it he is the reason we expect to win the SEC west now, not just hope to win it.
What say you?

Don't have to be torn, it aint happening. Think about it for just a minute and stop listening to the rumor starters around here. They have been trying to put this board in a tizzy for a while, and they have succeeded. You should be torn between ever trusting the scoop on this board again or not.

Football is a business - it will not come up on the man's judgment day, I don't think. It is impossible to determine what anyone (you included) would say if placed in his position.
Be grateful you had him, beat 'Bama like you would anyone else, and if the opportunity comes to improve LSU, albeit by the return of Saban, then it is illogical to not do anything but embrace the man.

He's just not what we need now...we need to move forward.
No matter what, we've won at a higher rate with Miles than with Saban....but people just aren't fascinated with Miles..and I understand that.
But, Saban isn't what we need in my opinion.
