Im mad about the search not the result

Joe just wants to come off like a badass instead of getting us a top guy. If you chose O then say so. Dont say you're too much of a tough guy to get in a bidding war. You had all year to look for guys and you really didn't show the fan base much. Similar to Les, if you did something tell us instead of just acting like you're right and we dont need to know.

he tried 2 others and settled for O....the question is how do you know he didn't consider others and had O at 3rd after conducting the search?

Our fans brought up Fleck,Colorado coach etc etc, but I said when we fired les. There were really not a big quality of coaches for the lsu job.

How do you know he "tried" those two others? Because as we know every single report that came out through this process was correct.

There are more than three available coaches nationally. There will be an NFL coach or two that will be let go, that would have been a better fit over Orgeron. Hell, there are hundreds more qualified coaches than O, but Alleva clearly settled and gave up.

I am not pleased with the search or the end result. People just don't get how bad this whole hiring process was and the direction this program is heading. He might have a decent year next year, but after that you will start to see cracks in the foundation.

because he didn't even interview anyone else.
how do i know he didn't interview anyone else?
because he hired O before any of the other ones seasons was even over and other than Petrino, no coach with an ounce of dignity is going to have a face to face interview with another team before the season ends.

I dont. That's my point. The dude opened with he wasn't getting in a bidding war. Not, we looked at 10 candidates etc.

the coaching search, like all coaching searches are held in secret. there are some leaks and partial leaks and the news gets skewed because we don't get the whole picture. sorry, that is necessary; the "losing coaches" do not want their present employers to find out they were entertaining leaving. you have to respect their privacy.

So, out of all current head coaches in college football a out of work two years ago DL guy with a miserable record the only time ANYONE hired him to run a program came in #3 in a valid coaching search?
That's beyond stupid and an insult to LSU football, but it figures we have brain dead fans who would buy it.
Think about this. ULL wouldn't hire O.
Joe has picked three failures to run the basketball programs and now a guy no one wanted, NO ONE, to run football.
