I loved the possibility of finally having an offensive guru that can develop qbs but deep down I was concerned about the defensive side.

I tend to agree with the defensive concerns about Riley to respond to the OP. As far as Jimbo goes, he cannot be considered an offensive guru anymore. Maybe 10 years ago, but his offense now is severely outdated.
