I'm glad the OC search is taking time

I think this means Miles is truly going through a strong search process and wants to find the best candidate possible. It would be easy to complete this search in a short period of time. I think his OC hire will actually be a stronger hire than the Chavis DC hire....and I thought the Chavis hire was very solid.

An offensive coordinator will not be hired before signing day because Miles gets to make more recruiting trips if we don't have a coach in place before than. Don't expect a hire before Feb 2 at the earliest.

in the same token wouldn't it be nice to instill a little faith in recruits who will be heading their offense?

mmmmmmmm....you could be right but the number of extra visits Miles will get are very limited. Again, I'm not saying you are wrong as the deadline really isn't that far away. However, it would not surpise me to see a choice made before that either.

Regarding recruits and their view should a decision be made prior to signing day, I doubt it would have much of an impact, save it be a HUGE hire or one that would really be pathetic. I really don't see either of those things.

the offensive part of the class is pretty much locked up, it's the defensive guys we're still working on. besides, if they were cool to play under Crowton, they'll pretty much play for whomever.

So are we going QB coach or OC who also coaches QBs?

Whatever happened with Fuente? I really would like this guy. Seems like his offense could really adapt to our talent the best with a bunch of different looks.

All the remaining uncommitted recruits we are going after (Jernigan, Clowney, Drew, Rasco, CJ Johnson) play defense.
