The Bama Homer from Tidefans who first put out the story that Saban had agreed to a contract extension has now recanted.

Regardless, you guys look pretty dumb with your hope. If it happens, fine but you look pathetic.

Which is now in bankruptcy.

That's another factor the Tidefans guru mentioned re the Texas offer. Saban's in debt apparently.

Beyond that, Spinosa has a track record of more than 30 years in residential, retail and office developments. Many people have had some degree of contact with him or his properties, including former LSU and current Alabama football coach Nick Saban, whose name has surfaced in the Perkins Rowe suit and who also is a 49.5% owner of a Houston apartment complex for which another of Spinosa’s companies has filed for bankruptcy protection. Saban perhaps is the only person who has kept a stricter silence than Spinosa.

We've repeated what is being talked about by the folks on Tidefans and their host.

This is the forum that is so Homerish, LSU fans are not allowed to post. In fact, no debate is allowed. When two posters questioned the sites moderator re his information and this latest twist, they were banned from the thread.

I"m sure that Paul realizes this is a business decision for Nick. They won't become mortal enemies if Saban goes to TX like most of the gump fanbase will. They will remain cordial. Think of it as a professional courtesy. Hell, UT may be footing the bill for the flight.

I would be too. Smart is the long term future of that program regardless of when Saban leaves.

Hell yes he is. Gotta protect daddy's legacy. Without that the dude has little to nothing.

I expected Saban to be gone by this time anyways. This is now year 8. This is all just gravy anyways. We're eternally grateful for getting us out of the pits of mediocrity. That's how I feel and how most Bama fans feel.

But seriously he's not going to Texas. He could retire. He could try the NFL again. But he ain't going to Texas.

Yeah a lot of people don't realize how much he does behind the curtain for Bama now

He'll be a really good HC I just hope Bama gives him the chance
