If your potential guy dependent upon great assts he should be stricken from the list.

I've see people saying things like Tucker would kill it here if he got the right assistants...etc...this kind of thinking is why LSU is in the state they are in.

He means coordinators. It's nice to have a HC who is a well known playcaller that's considered a top playcaller in football that doesn't rely on constantly drawing in top coordinators year to year.

Saban doesn't need good assistants. He develops good assistants. They become good because they fold into his system ans way of doing things.

There’s a difference between being 100% dependent on your assistants and having great assistants that compliment your own knowledge.

So I guess you are saying Saban hasn’t had good assistants thru the years…Jimbo, Kiffin, Smart, O’Brien, Tucker, Muschamp, Dabo, Napier, Dantonio, McElwain just to name a few…2 of them have gone on to win a NC or two.
