If we end up with Orgeron, we would've been better off with Les

If we were going to let Orgeron get the job, we should have just given Les a lifetime contract, told him not to worry about anything, and let him do his thing at 8-4 or 9-3 every year until he got tired of it and decided to fix things or retire.

Seriously. Because that is all this is going to be. Looking at Orgeron on the sideline Saturday, he had that "brook trout" look and could not fix a thing. That was a depleted Florida team and we were playing at home. No excuse for that disaster.

We'll see a bunch of those. Might as well have kept Les.

I disagree. Les was out of gas. While O may be worse or equal, he has the energy for it.

ETA: I don't want either of them as HC

Yeah. We really miss throwing things at the TV because of that stale offense.

id agree if Les didn't make a habit of losing games...JUST LIKE THAT!

you are forgetting all O COULD change at this point is motivation and practice routines.
the dye was cast with this offense (and the oline) and have a TE coach as the OC

We're not hiring Orgeron. His name was dropped as motivation for this season and it kept the season afloat. The local media doesnt understand that because they ate it up and started pushing for O all along. They're still trying to make a case for him and he's not even a serious candidate. Now less than ever.

Les needed to go but I totally get what you are saying. There were so many horrible decisions made Saturday and it was very obvious that O is in over his head.

I don't think that's true at all.

Orgeron > Miles

Orgeron will run the program better, recruit better, and hire better assistants. Miles had no steam and was being forced to make all changes from 2011 on.

Yes, Les needed to go. It was time. But, that was with the understanding that we would get a better coach. I see nothing that tells me that Orgeron will be better than Les.

Yeah. At least with Les you could expect a base level of competence. Orgeron is a way worse head coach than Les and, if hired, is going to destroy this program.

Les never had much energy and did gradually run out gas. O might have more energy, but it probably came from a dose of starting fluid over an already empty tank. He is a good staff coach but nowhere near the HC that LSU needs.

I threw plenty of items during both the Bama and Fla games.

This is absolutely no basis to claim this. Like, zero.

Man I have read some stupid posts on here of the years I give this one top billing. Les had no level of competence ever from and offensive perspective. Everything that happened this year on offense is completely on him and his boy Cam. From OL recruiting to QB recruiting. He slowly eroded the program by recruiting a bunch of guards to be road graders in his version of a dominant run game and neglected the QB position because he thought he was Bo. I don't think Ed O is the answer either but Les Miles does not beat Florida on Saturday. LSU should have won Saturday for sure I'm pissed about he way they called the game. I pissed the players fumbled and ran the wrong way, but there is nothing different Les Miles would have done or better than what Orgeron did.

How can people as stupid as you breathe, much less type? Les was our most successful coach EVER. Any arguement otherwise should result in the loss of your ability to subject others with your stupidity. His last full season was 9-3 (face it, 10-3). You millenial morons don't understand how hard that is to do in college football, much less in the SEC West.

Miles was almost purposely tanking program to let fans and administration know they couldn't make him change. Orgeron is more worried about winning and that means more flexible on offense.
