A guy born and raised here, played at LSU, well like and respected by all
Takes the OC job and he’s instantly a target. For a million bucks though maybe that’s worth it

If it's E, I don't think he'll get trashed if it fails as much as O would.

Alleva conducted “search” naming Fisher and Herman as targets, proceeded to hire worst HC in Ole Miss history.
Orgeron gets Canada fired because they can’t play nice 1 season after that was his OC hire.
And now the distinct possibility of:
LSU hires Ensminger as OC after promising the best coordinators in the country.

This is true
Steve has to consider:
1) Ed O was sitting at home just a few years ago, because no one would hire him. Steve could be in the same situation after 2018.
2) O ain't never getting another gig to take Steve with him as OC
3) An incoming HC might keep Steve as a position coach and La recruiter, but will not keep him as OC
4) Even if LSU has a bad year, Aranda isn't going anywhere, so Steve is first man out when O starts trying to save his job.
5) Steve might make bank for this one year, but when you have to go back to a HS salary, several years as a position coach is more valuable than that one final year as an OC

If LSU offered it to me, I would take it. I would be fricking awful and everyone would hate me and I wouldn't care.
