Well, jackass, the OP, Finebaum and everyone else is talking about a new extension since the one you referenced. Finebaum reported the new extension has been on Saban's desk since last Friday.

The one thing that the gumps refuse to see iIn all of this is if infact there is a new contract on his desk, why is it there? If there was no fire to the smoke that's going up around him right now reguarding a hefty Texas offer why would Bama write up another contract/extension when they just did it 8 months ago? If he goes or not is yet to be seen. But there has definitely been some sort of offer made or thrown out there. And I'm sorry gumps, Bama could not compete with UT when it comes to Dollars. If the rumors about buying off his debt are true, and still paying him 8+ a year. He's gone. Even if. Ama offers him a match at 8. I dont see the guy who owns the me s clothing store in the mall paying off 24 mil of debt. If it gets into a bidding war, Texas will go bigger that what you guys can just out of principal.

No I agree with you and see it clearly. It's all rumors. However the silence is telling. I don't know what was said, offered, or what is being mulled over. But all theses rumors could be put to rest regarding Saban and this fiasco but he has said nothing. This isn't just a sports writer playing what if or thinking options for a Sunday column. This stuff is coming from somewhere and for Saban, Bama , or even his agent to to not squash it or even comment is telling. I'm not saying he's gone, hell, I have no clue. But if I had to Bet, I would bet my house that there is something going on. If there wasn't and there was 100% no chance that he would be leaving, they would have ended this when it started.

Do you frick tards realize how long it takes to negotiate million dollar plus contracts? It doesn't happen overnight. Saban is recruiting like a mad man right now. The contract extension can wait... It's guaranteed. Let Texas bring a bigger offer... Saban will let BAMA counter offer and he'll be laughing all the way to the bank.
